This validation check ensures that [Outstanding nominal amount] + [Accumulated write-offs] and [Arrears for the instrument] are reported in a consistent manner. This means that the instrument’s outstanding nominal amount together with its accumulated write-offs has to be greater or equal to the arrears for the instrument.
